Haryana Chess Association - HCA, (referred to as HCA for short), is the registered state association in the domain of Chess. HCA is recognised by the Income Tax Department, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India and affiliated to Haryana Olympic Association (HOA) as the state body responsible for the game of chess and its Championships. HCA has the sole rights to organize the State Chess Championships.
HCA unites districts chess associations throughout the Haryana and oversees all state competitions.

HCA is concerned exclusively with chess activities. HCA is democratically established and bases itself on the principles of equal rights of its members.  HCA is a non profit making organisation.
It rejects discriminatory treatment for national, political, racial, social or religious reasons or on account of gender.
It observes strict neutrality in the internal affairs of the districts chess associations.

The financial revenues of HCA accrue from:
•membership fees;
•entry fees for participation in HCA’s competitions or tournaments;
•contributions for services rendered or rights granted by HCA to members or to third parties;
•other contributions.

At HCA, it has been our prerogative to identify upcoming chess players and mould them into world-class professionals. To achieve this lofty ideal, we incessantly provide many tournament opportunities and promote chess across the state of Haryana with astute planning and systematic execution.

We believe that constant exposure makes chess players gain confidence, besides enhancing their skill of the game. In order to facilitate this, we at HCA organize State Chess Championships in different categories every year. This throws open tremendous opportunities, especially for players who dream of leaving an indelible mark in this enthralling game.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL HARYANA PLAYERS

1. All the players (Selected/Donor) wish to participate in the National Championships have to confirm their entries by email (info[at]indianchess.org) along with scanned copy of date of birth certificates well in advance.

2. Entry fee of all the selected players for Nationals will be borne by the HCA and they will be paid TA/DA as per regulations.

3. Donor entries have to forward their entries directly to the organizers and intimate the same to HCA by email.

In order to give the ultimate benefits to chess enthusiasts across the state, we co-operate and co-ordinate with the Haryana Olympic Association (HCA). The result of this has been remarkably fruitful. Indeed HCA has been triumphant in producing some of the commendable chess players in the country.

Besides that, our ceaseless ventures in unison with the Haryana Olympic Association (HOA) to run more national and international tournaments in Haryana have been instrumental in generating players of supreme quality. At HCA, our passion for the game motivates us to empower chess players by giving them an escalated social status. We very firmly believe that the players have to enjoy respect and adoration in the society, which will make them psychologically at ease, thereby inducing them to give their best to the game. We strive to give them this advantage and boost their spirits.

Our no-compromise approach and functioning is evident from the fact that we offer the most competent coaching to the juvenile players before they compete at the national level. This helps them in mastering the intricacies of the game and adds a dash of confidence that does them a world of good.

A : Haryana Chess Association (HCA) is not a chess club.  It is a Administrative Unit for looking after Chess Activities in Haryana State by conducting various state, National and International tournaments and qulifying tournaments for National Chess Championships.  You can join the HCA by paying Rs. 50/- as Annual Registration fee.

A : By getting guidance from chess players and playing chess tournaments you can learn chess.

A : Participating in rated tournaments and performance in the subject tournament will earn you rating.

A : The first step will be local tournaments, then state and national tournaments and finally you can achieve the goal of playing in International tournaments.
